Having trouble installing Twhyne AI? Follow these steps for your platform.

🍎 macOS Installation

⚠️ "App is damaged" or "Can't be opened" Error?

This is a normal macOS security warning for apps that aren't code-signed. The app is safe - follow the steps below to open it.

Method 1: Right-Click to Open (Recommended)

1 Open the DMG file you downloaded
2 Drag Twhyne AI to Applications folder
3 Go to Applications folder in Finder
4 Right-click (or Control+click) on Twhyne AI
5 Select "Open" from the menu
6 Click "Open" in the dialog that appears
7 App will launch! It's now trusted and will open normally from now on

Method 2: System Settings

1 Try to open the app normally (it will show an error)
2 Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
3 Scroll down to the Security section
4 Click "Open Anyway" next to the Twhyne AI message
5 Enter your password and confirm
6 App will launch!

🪟 Windows Installation

⚠️ Windows Defender SmartScreen Warning?

This is normal for new apps. The app is safe - follow the steps below.

Installation Steps

1 Run the installer (Twhyne AI Setup 1.0.0.exe)
2 If you see "Windows protected your PC":
  • Click "More info"
  • Click "Run anyway"
3 Follow the installation wizard
4 Launch from Start Menu or Desktop shortcut

🔑 Activating Your License

1 Launch Twhyne AI
2 Enter your license key (from registration email)
3 Enter your email address (same one you registered with)
4 Click "Activate License"
5 Start using Twhyne AI! You have 90 days of unlimited access
💡 Why These Security Warnings?

Code signing certificates cost $99-400/year. Since Twhyne AI is free, we haven't purchased one yet. The app is completely safe - your operating system is just being cautious about apps from new developers.

Once you open it the first time using the methods above, it will work normally forever.
